What does mulch installation include?
Our mulch installation includes prepping and edging the beds, removing weeds and old matted mulch where needed, and spreading fresh mulch at the correct depth for weed suppression and moisture control. We can also apply mulch glue — a clear binding spray that locks mulch in place so it doesn’t wash into walkways during heavy Florida rain.
In Central Florida, mulch does more than look good. It holds moisture in sandy soil, moderates root temperature through brutal summers, and chokes out weeds before they start. But mulch also breaks down and fades fast in our climate — which is why most beds benefit from a refresh once or twice a year.
Signs you need fresh mulch
- Mulch has faded to gray and lost its color
- Beds are thin enough that soil or old fabric shows through
- Weeds are coming up easily through the existing layer
- Mulch has washed out of beds onto driveways and walkways
- The yard looks tired even though the plants are healthy

Why hire us?
We treat mulch as part of a finished landscape, not a dump-and-go job. Clean edges, correct depth, and tidy surfaces make the difference between “mulched” and “professionally done.” We serve homeowners, retirees, and property managers across The Villages and Central Florida.
